The National Institute for Section 3 Empowerment (NISE)

Legal Skills Center is incorporating The National Institute for Section 3 Empowerment (NISE). Its mission is to be a clearinghouse and research entity to provide best practices on the implementation and enforcement of the federal mandate known as Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968. Below is “What is Section 3?”, a short video we presented recently to members of the New York State Assembly and Senate. It should give you background information on the work of the NISE.

If you wish to make a tax exempt contribution to the NISE’s nonprofit incorporation, please email: ewh@legalskillscenter.com. Accepting such donations on theNISE’s behalf is the Neighborhood Technical Assistance Clinic, fiscal sponsor. $15 Billion is on table now to be used for economic development through Section 3. Let not another day go by without moving those billions from the table to the people!
